Any help would be appreciated by this Mexican food deprived Boston resident!

    Taqueria question

Try Taqueria de Mexico ( I believe that's the name) in the West Village . I think it's on west 12th and Bank Street. It's not fancy but it's quite good. The person who owns Mi Cocina (one of the best Mexican places- at least it use to be owns it). The mexican torta sandwiches especially the chorizo are delicious.

First off, Tacqueria de Mexico is no more a tacqueria than La Palapa or Mexicana Mama or Kitchen for that matter. They all offer good (upscale) Mexican cuisine. They serve tacos but I wouldn't really say they 'specialize' in them.

However, speaking of tacos - if you've never had the pork taco at Mexicana Mama than you haven't lived.

      Go for it.

12th and Greenwich Avenue, actually. One of my
favorite parts of town! The lunch deals sound
        appealing...
