  1. You may be thinking of Asti's at 13 E. 12th Street, which had opera singing staff. But Asti's closed after 70-some years and became Strip House, a quite decent (though pricey) steakhouse. Hey, Asti's was expensive, too!

The staff at Don't Tell Mama is comprised primarily of Broadway musical wannabes, and they, too, sing, though not while they're waiting tables.

You'd think with the number of thrushes wandering our streets that there would be dozens of singing restaurants!

    1. The waiters sing at Sammy's Roumanian, I'm pretty sure.

I've never heard the waiters sing at Sammy's, but they do have a guy playing a keyboard and doing corny arrangements of songs like "Send in the Clowns" and "Hava Nagilah".

      2. If you don't mind a diner (I can't vouch for the food since I've never been), try calling Ellen's Stardust Diner, 1650 B'way, 956-5151 to see if they still sing there.

Other theme restaurants like Johnny Rocket's usually have wait staff who sing, sometimes under obvious duress!

        1. mangi e beveitalian place on 54th and 9th?

          1. Check out Ellen's Stardust Cafe. It's near Time's Square.

... and because you didn't SHOUT, the message may have been lost.
