Flor de Sol vs El Cid
Anyone been to Flor de Sol or El Cid recently? Opinions welcome on which of the above you favor.
Flor de Sol was very good when I was there about six months ago with wife and friends.
Tapas menu and prices were as authentically Spanish as it gets in New York.
El Cid has a very authentic Spanish "feel" but the food revealed no surprise.
33 Crosby Street serves a very good tapas menu. You'll never get a seat but go there and eat at the bar.
By the way, is it me? Or is there no good Paella in this city?
I've travelled throughout Spain quite a bit in the past 3 years and I've paella'd till blue in the face.
Paella in Spain is drastically different from town to town, but every place in NYC serves it the same way.
