Brew's Burgers

  • c

I hope it was just an off night for turkey burgers, but a recent visit to Brew's hardly lived up to Jim's proclamation (in What Jim Had for Dinner) that "the turkey burgers beat all (red meat shunners rejoice!)." As a red meat shunner, I had hoped it was true, but while my companion was quite pleased with his (beef) burger, my turkey burger was no better than avarage--slighty dry (so hard to avoid with turkey burgers) and without a lot of taste (ditto). I do give Brew's credit for much better than average buns for the burgers. I was unimpressed by the fries, though. They were well-done, but much too well-done for such a thin cut, and while clearly freshly cooked, they weren't very crisp. As I said, I hope it was an off night, and I'll give it another try sometime.

  1. The food at Brew's is horrendous, matched only by the decor and the service. Forget it.
