East 80s special lunch spots, 12/26?

I'm an out-of-towner looking for a restaurant in the East 80s that serves a nice lunch, not casual--a plush kind of place that is fairly quiet where a close friend and I can enjoy good food and conversation for a couple of hours on the day after Christmas. (I've called a few places in the general area that are closed that day.) I've heard good things about Butterfield 81--is it open for lunch? What about Etats-Unis, Lobster Club, Revel, Trois Marches? If possible, please e-mail responses directly to lee16@fas.harvard.edu (I'm not a regular reader of this message board.) Thank you.

It's open for brunch, but I don't think for lunch. The new chef, Patricia Williams, is supposed to be very good. And brunch is indeed delicious. If you need another place, try Cafe Bianco on 2nd Ave between 76 and 77 (east side of street). They have good bread and dip, though the food's mediocre. It's a great place, however, to sit for a few hours, munch on stuff, and chat. I used to go there all the time when I lived on the upper east side.
