What do you think about City Hall?

I'm going to City Hall on a Sat night in December with a bunch of friends. What do you think about the joint?
I am a big fan of City Hall and I rate it one of the best restaurants in the city.
From its comfortable setting with an "Old New York" ambience to the quality of the food and the diversity of the wine list, you won't go wrong at City Hall.
I've been there perhaps a dozen times in the past year and a half and have never had a bad time nor a bad meal. My own favorite is the grilled whole fish, bone in (although they will de-bone it if you wish). I have also been very happy with their duck, and my wife thinks their calves liver is to die for. They are self-described as a steak house and they serve a lot of different types of seafood as well, so you can be quite adventurous.
You should also plan to order some side vegetables, as they give the same care and attention to the sides that they do to main courses. Any of the potato dishes are good choices, and we particularly like the beets (yes, try the beets), the brussel sprouts and the peas and carrots.
One of our favorite appetizers is their mixed fry of shrimp, calamari and oysters, which you shouldn't miss.
Another nice touch is that they put a relish plate on the table when you sit, so you can nosh on carrot sticks, radishes, olives, pickles, etc.
I will be very curious to hear what you think of the place.
Oh, you should also be aware that the back of the menu contains a legend for the interesting pictures that adorn the upper walls around the dining room.
Have a great time...
