Any experiences with open table.com? Any problems? I'd like to use it but would like to hear from those who have tried it. thanks.

  1. I've used opentable twice with absolutely no problems. And if you are going to a place that is particularly popular/crowded, having a printout of the reservation is a security blanket.

It is a great service. You can often secure reservations with OpenTable that you couldn't get via the old fashioned telephone. In addition, there is a comment section where you can put any special requests, notes, etc. And as stated, it is nice to have a printed confirmation.

Well... My husband tried it for the first time last week, and couldn't get a reservation - and we were requesting an early time, like 6 p.m.

However, when he called the restaurant directly, he had no problem getting a reservation. He came away thinking that perhaps the restaurants have a "quota" of reservations that can be made via Open Table.

Nevertheless, we had a great time at EQ. :-)
