Jumbo Seafood at Noriega St

  • h

After reviewing Limster report, I drove down to SF and try this place with the whole family. I had seven courses plus a free soup for $29.00. Unbelievable value. And the quality is decent (good). I can easily pay double elsewhere. Good amount of portion for each dishes.

Here are the 7 items I selected

Squid w/tasty veg.: the squid is fresh and cooked just right. The sauce is probably black bean with lots of onions and green peppers.

Fish with Lichees: golden fried fish chunks in a slightly sweet sauce. It's just OK.

Boiled Shrimp with sauce: fresh shrimps with dipping soy sauce. One of my favorite.

Spareribs with bean sauce: soft and quite tasty.

Steamed Oysters w/sauce: 4 oysters per order. Good sauce and good size oysters.

Sliced pork with pickles: thick bacon like pork slices steamed in a special soy sauce. Well executed.

Crispy taro duck: deep fried taro with duck meat inside. Served sliced. Comes with a dipping sauce. Creative and delicious.

I am very satisfied with this place - next time I will explore the other menu items.

The restaurant is located in 1532 Noriega St., San Francisco, CA 94122 (415)681-1800

A couple blocks away, I saw Fu Jiang restaurant which seems like a Hokkian style cuisine (Fu Jian) - anybody try it yet ?

  1. I have also had there pick from the menu, but I want to tried there set menu. I have the set menu at home and will post the dinner for 10 for about $100.00. Maybe we could have a low end (cheap but good)Chowhound dinner. If the Limster will give me some help I would be happy to set it up.

I will post after I get home
