One of my favorites (NOT for the food, but for the weird name and concept) is (was?) a weird-themed restaurant in Clearwater called The Dog Bowl. Their slogan? "We treat you like the dog you are." Food is served in dog bowls. Hughly popular with teenagers on dates for reasons I never understood.

I've never quite fathomed those S&M restaurants, actually. I suppose there are those who really have a yen to be being flagellated whilst tucking into a pork loin, but I'd always thought of those as fairly separate activities.

Not that I ever...oh skip it.

That reminds me of some other chinese restaurants I know of in the Five Towns area on LI.

One is "Foo's Rush Inn." One day it dawned on me that the name came from the song "Only fool's rush in."

Another one is "OU82 Much" vegetarian Chinese.

Another one is a kosher Chinese called "Cho Sen." Only after I noticed that their chinese lettering/character resembled the Star of David did I finally get the "chosen people" pun.

Also, there are a bunch of pubs in London owned by the "Firkin" brewing company with a good Firkin beer selection. Gimme a firkin beer!
