Komodo...Worth a Look

hola friends...

i went to Komodo, a relatively new place in the east village [12th and Ave. A], last night and i must say, it's definitely worth a look if you like creative food...they serve fushion-type food, a mix of mexican/asian, i know it doesn't sound that great off the cuff, but i must tell you, eat the Sweet Potato and Avacado Spring Rolls and you will feel as though you've struck gold..they are awesome and come with a spicy dipping sauce that is outrageous...i had the snapper for my main and it has wonderful mexican spices to it..my father had the vietnamese chicken with vegetables and it was also quite good...they don't have a liquor license yet, so bring your own...the place is somewhat small, but very well done and the staff is quite nice...

  1. FWIW, Eric Asimov (NY Times $25 and Under column) liked it, too. As did Robert Sietsema (Village Voice). If you're interested, I've added a link to the summary of Asimov's review, which has a link to Sietsema's.
