Some guy posted the same question before Christmas, but nobody answered. He was looking for a good place to have dessert in the Theatre District. Can anyone help?

Well, this isn't really theater district, but it's one of my favorites and it's not *too* far. Cafe Mona Lisa at Bleeker and 7th Ave has wonderful dessert crepes. (it has a cafe menu as well, but I've never tried the food.)

The cafe is full of overstuffed chairs and small tables. A bit loud at times and lots of college students, but I think it has a nice, relaxed, anti chichi atmosphere. In the summer, there are sidewalk tables on both 7th and Bleeker.

My favorite is the bannana/Nutella, but there is also a really good vanilla/orange crepe. Good coffee, teas, etc, too. Bon chance!

Try Thalia, a newish place at the corner of 50th St. and 8th Ave. I've only been there once, but the dessert I had there was very good, if pricey.
