Need to get a reservation at one of these places for Jan 29th. Special night!! They are booked up! Anyone have any tips on how I might squeeze in there?

Both Po and Babbo have a limited number of seats available on a first-come, first-serve basis in the bar area. The full menu is available.

    Good luck.

Do be warned, however, that this is a rather loosely-followed rule. The only first-come-first-served criterion that you can depend upon is if you are eating at the bar. There have been times when the tables were, indeed, booked. I know that eating at the bar may not suit your 'special occasion' needs, but, at Babbo, anyway, it is a very pleasant experience.

We got into Babbo on a Saturday with reservations made the same day. I think we got VERY lucky, as we had been calling and calling for reservations (to see if anyone had cancelled) with no luck. At 9:30 a.m., on the dot, on the day we wanted to go, we called, and they had a cancellation. They were just as surprised as we were that there was a last minute cancellation. Anyway, probably not the best way to go if you want to be certain to get in on your special night, but we did have back-up reservations at another place just in case. Good Luck.

the entire front room at Lupa is first come-first served.......depends upon the time you got there how long the wait would be.
