Finally made it over to Ave. C and 9th Street, to try Esperanto.

The meal was good, but two things really wowed me. The vegetable empanadas had the tenderest dough imaginable, just a tiny bit of filling and a great vinegary sauce. But most of all, the fried yucca was incredible - so much crisper and lighter than usual, and slathered with garlic and parsley. YUM.

  1. they wil try toi seat you in the back along the wall, but speak up and get something more center. friendly people and basically good food. the best at our table was a fish - sea bass or cod - cooked in a banana leaf
