Village Bring Your Own?

  • a

I'm looking for an interesting, moderately priced place in the Village that will allow three old friends to linger over good (or even decent) food, and a couple of bottles of wine, which we ourselves shall provide. All of this, for the purpose of celebrating the end of a very long bachelorhood.

Thanks in advance.

  1. Try Frank on First Ave and 9th Street (? maybe 10th?).
It has great atmosphere, serves really good French/Mediterranean food and its BYOB. Gets very crowded in evenings as it doesn't take reservations and seats a very small number of people.

Oops, I earlier posted this response to the wrong message. I was just trying to figure out this BYO thing. It seems the BYO places I know are new and waiting for liquor licenses, so they are not BYO for long. But I knew someone from NJ who said he always went out BYO (I didn't even know what he meant and said--Oh! you mean byoB!) Is this a bigger thing in NJ? Or are they places out there in NY and I just don't konw it?
