City Hall on Duane St.

  • l

A quick report: So called heirloom tomatoes didn't look or taste like heirlooms; tiny grilled tuna; incredibly overpriced wine list; and the capper: lousy and loud music. Anyone else think this place is easily skipable?

  1. I went there with my extended family including three little kids. Though i didn't think it was over the top I thought they had a great selection and a kids menu which is unusual in that price range. We thought the food was really good--not mindblowing but very satisfying. I loved the chopped salad. Especially if you want to go someplace nice with kids I would give it a thumbs up.

Just ate at City Hall on Monday 5/15/00. Thought it would be an overpriced business-man lunch type place. Although the service was that great, the food was. Had the crab omelette (daily special) that came with a salad and two slices of thick toast. We also had a nice bread basket. They have some outdoor seating which is always nice in the springtime. Now if only the waiter had paid more attention to us....

I'll add that the service was horibly slow, and inattentive, the one time I went.
