The food, while OK, is by no means great. And it is
WAY overpriced. Almost everytime I have been to I
Coppi, my dinner companions commented on the size of
the bill. If the food were exceptional or if the
restaurant wasn't on a rather seedy E. Village block,
i would not have such an issue with the high prices.
I must admit, however, that the restaurant is
visually appealing, and the outdoor garden is quite a
treat in the summer.
I agree with all that Brian said. We were there 3 weeks ago and I left with such bad indigestion (something that never happens to me). Was it the food or was it the bill? I don't see the big deal here.
We went to Babbo last night, now that's a big deal. In advance of the avalanche of criticism anyone seems to get for voicing a negative opinion -- that's just the way it was for us. End o' story.
