Spending two nights in Charlottesville VA. looking for anything houndworthy - preferably something somewhat local, childfriendly. maybe bar-b-q, or anything regional.

thank you

Not too much bbq in C'ville unfortunately. My family's favorites are:

    Coffee Shop: Mudhouse

Very Casual: Marco & Luca's dumplings or Christian's Pizza on the downtown mall; Feast for sandwiches at the Main Street Market; Sticks Kabob Shop; Bodo's Bagels

    Child Friendly Dinner:
Downtown Mall: Bizou - trendy diner food

    W. Main Street: Continential Divide - southwestern flair - try the Thai Chicken burritos and the margaritas; Starr Hill Brewery - try the buffalo burger and the stout; Wild Wing Cafe - in a old renovated train station

Breakfast: Bluegrass Grill and Bakery just two blocks off the downtown mall (313 2nd street)

And if you're there after April 1st on a Saturday - don't miss the City Market - home-made donuts, crepes, Mennonite baked goods
