I will be in Jersey City next month with my 15 yr old son. We are looking for good Pizza, Indian, and Vietnamese food. We will be using public transportation so some good recs near Pavonia, or Exchange Place PATH stations would be great also. Even other places in Manhattan would be good as we will be exploring, thanks.

Hi Frank. For Indian, you can try a new restaurant that opened in Exchange Place called Amiya-great food. It is at 160 Greene Street in the Harborside Financial Center V just a short walk from the Exchange Place PATH station or for a more authentic experience take the PATH train to Journal Square station and walk a few blocks north on Kennedy Boulevard to Newark Avenue and turn left. This stretch of Newark avenue is filled with Indian restaurants and fast food places (Dhosa Hut, etc), jewelry stores, sari shops etc. One restaurant that I enjoy here is Rasoi. For Vietnamese, take the PATH to Grove and either walk west up Newark or take one of the minibuses in front of Dunkin donuts up Newark Ave. There are two choices-Saigon Grill (a bit more upscale-located right before Jersey Ave ) or there is a great Pho place a litlle further up. Sorry the name escapes me it is Pho something something and is right after Coles St. The Pho place is a bit cheaper and is very popular with local Vietnamese families. For good pizza and Italian sandwiches continue west on Newark anout 1 or 2 blocks and you will see Lomnbardi's a small place with great pizza and daily specials-much better than the other pizza places around.

Enjoy your stay!
