Allman's Bar B Q has been very good in the past, and it's not far from Carl's for a frozen custard dessert.

Thanks,

I'll put in a 2nd for Allman's...and Carl's. I can't think of any good Mexican in Fred'burg but there is a taqueria at the Falmouth exit I've often been curious to try...looks like its more geared to recent-immigres than gringos, which is always a good sign.

(If you want something different there is also The Kabab Place at that exit than has yummy Pakistani food, as well as cheese steaks.)
