Some very nice eats at place NJ Chowhounds may know - and one that might be new.

Harvey Cedars Shellfish Co. was a study in steady simplicity for family of four; each had 1 pd lobster platter (served w/ mussels & corn) served in a tray that took up table. $17 per person, BYOB. Go early, lines can be a nightmare...

Blue (Surf City) had spectacular seaside eats in a relaxed sophisticated atmosphere (kids were fine); Tamarind Pork Chop & eggplant puree, Blackened Salmon, Southwest Grilled Chicken & polenta and Lobster (claws, tail) demi glaze w/ a rock shrimp, chorizo, bean sprouts & Asparagus tip wrap salad. BYOB also...

Finally - Lex Mex (Shipbottom at 7/11); wonderful Fish Taco (blackened tilapia, cabbage, tomatoes, chipoltae wrapped in soft shell), Yellowfin Tuna Burrito (pineapple, asparagus tips, cabbage, chipoltae) at about $12 per entree; kids had regular Mexican fare which was excellent...

Surf wasn't bad, either.

      Moustache Bills (Barnegat Light); some of the best fried clam strips on the whole island (gd tarter, too); big salads (yes, Seinfeld "big" salads) and a very good crab cake - lot's of crab and...
