Best Mexican or Latino food in VA Beach

    For Puerto Rican food, go to De Rican Chef in Virginia Beach. For Mexican food, there is Tienda Jessys and Taqueria el Rey in Norfolk as well.

      Mojito Cafe near the oceanfront has great Puerto Rican (and mojitoes of course). Get the mufongo, you will be very happy.

        I agree, Luna Maya is one of my very favorites. It's a small space and tends to fill up fast so if you go on a Friday or Saturday make sure to get there right when they open at 5:30. The tamales are fantastic.

          Luna Maya Cantina in Norfolk on 21st St is owned by 2 Bolivian sisters and always delcious and a hip place to hang as well.

          There is nowhere else that is really authentic in the area that I know of...though I'd love to find a place.
