it seems like polarica's name has come up fairly frequently of late when people are looking for specialty items so i thought i'd do a quick list of their available products. the list is exhaustive so i won't attempt to list everything, just major categories.
poultry and feathered game include chicken, quail, wild and free range turkey, squab, poussin, capon, partridge, pheasant and guinea fowl.
there are 5 types of duck as well as 1 type of goose.
furred game includes caribu, 4 types of deer, 2 types of antelope, elk, wild boar, buffalo as well as 5 others.
white meat includes rabbit, mild-fed veal, kid goat and suckling pig.
there are 3 types of lamb.
reptile and exotic meats include rattlesnake, frog, turtle, crawfish live escargot, abalone, and 3 others.
they also carry cured meats, smoked meats and poultry, smoked seafood, caviar, foie gras, truffles, pates, sausages, wild berries, fresh berries, mushrooms, specialty produce, and cheeses as well as some special order dried products.
Just keep in mind that their website is a bit out of date with respect to prices, although the selection is mostly the same. Go to Polarica and you can pick up a paper catalog that's comprehensive.
Hmmm. You've got me thinking of Polarica products I've purchased. Maybe I'll have those wild boar raviolis today! Or the duck confit I made. Or.... :-)
