BBQ tasting UPDATE!

The update is that there is no date -- we've had delays in nailing down a location (the place we had in mind was not available 2/10).
Since 2/17 is a holiday weekend, we're looking at 2/24.
Sorry about the delays -- if so many of you weren't so excited about it we could have it in my living room, but due to size of your enthusiastic response, we're looking into sites that can handle a bigger crowd.
Stay tuned to the board for info -- hopefully we'll have a firm date soon.
Please charter a plane and fly yourselves and the 'Q down to the Chino airport. I will pick you all up and bring you to my house. If you don't agree to do that, then stop posting messages about the great 'Q taste-a-thon, because you are making me very edgy thinking about all that 'Q that I will be missing out on.

Joey's BBQ, Riverside and East End I think. Also Eric's on Schaefer east of Central. Bourbon Street Texas BBQ and cajun in Chino Hills.
The brisket and sweet potatoes at Joey's are pretty good. Don't like their hotlinks, too grainy for me, the spare ribs are so so. Bourbon Street's beef isn't bad. Eric's baby backs are good, his beef ribs and brisket rock.
But you know, a true chowhound is always interested in checking out the 'Q joint over the next hill, so to speak. I am looking forward to the bay area BBQ report that will come out of the planned BBQ bonanza, so I can file away all that imporant intelligence information for the next time the wife and I are in the bay area this spring.
