Anyone have a recommendation for an authentic italian restaurant in hoboken?

having lived in Hoboken for many years, I can say that the food is almost always disappointing, but that being said for Authentic Italian-American food try Augustino's on 11th & Washington. There is no such thing as authenic italian (meaning I never had any thing that even remotely resembled and thing I've had in Italy) in hoboken. If thats what your looking for jump on the PATH and go to Lupa on Thompson off bleeker. Although Vito's and Fiore's deli's do make the great subs.....

Try Tartuferia which is on 14th Street or so where you would least expect to find a restaurant - about 2 or 3 streets west of Washington. A small, chic place with good food. The prices are okay, not cheap but not outrageous. Let us know if you try it and what you think.

It's on 14th and Grand. Have eaten there about 1/2 dozen times since they opened. None very recently but am going tonight. Tartuferia is very good for Hoboken with special occasion prices for my budget, maybe $50/pop. Special bonus: you can park there.
