I was at Emporio Rulli, awesome Italian pastry shop/cafe in Larkspur, and after I got home I remembered that they were known for making a particular kind of pastry just once a year, for St. Joseph's Day, which i believe is March 15. Any information? What's the pastry? Do they really only make it that one day? thanks! also, has anyone had their colombo pasquale?

Yum. Rulli's is one of my favorite places. Up until October when I moved to San Diego, I used to be able to walk there from my house, I sure do miss it now :-(.

I know they do a special filled panettone at Christmas that was the subject of an article in Sunset Magazine, (complete with recipe) about 5 or 6 years ago. Don't recall a special Easter pastry, but I know that they do have several items that they only produce at certain times of the year. The link to their web page is below. If all else fails, use the "contact us" button on the web page and just ask 'em.
