A friend and I meet for occasional nicer lunches, and we're looking for a new suggestion. Places we've eaten at for lunch or dinner in the past: Fork, Caribou Cafe, Vietnam, Vietnam Palace, Beau Monde, Tria, most Stephen Starr restaurants, Matyson, Chloe. Looking for something in Old City/Center City, preferably no further west than the area where Tria is. Suggestions would be oh so appreciated. I'm pregnant so anywhere where there's no no-smoking section is out, and neither one of us is craving any kind of Asian food, so that's all out too.

You could try La Famiglia on Front Street -- one of the 2 best Italian restaurants in town and has a very nice prix fixe 3-course lunch. A little pricey but a lot cheaper than dinner!
