Well, since y'all were SO great with the fish market recommendations -- thanks so much, by the way -- I have another one for you. I adore clay pot dishes, especially catfish in clay pot. I think it's a vietnamese dish --? I've had good versions at Golden Turtle off Clement and Sai's Vietnamese on uh, I think Battery Street. But neither of these were as good as an amazing version I had down in San Mateo. That's too far to drive! Can anyone recommend a stupendous catfish in clay pot?

Thanks!

  1. My favorite, hands down, continues to be Jasmine House's catfish in a claypot. It's different than most I've had -- there's no skin and bone on the fish, and the sauce is more savory than sweet -- I'm not sure if it's more or less authentic, or just different. Anyway, I like it far better than all the others I've had, and I've ordered it -- seriously -- over a 100 times now.

Jasmine House is on Clement near 24th Ave.
