  1. I looked all over Chinatown, and in the asian supermarkets on Washington Avenue, to no avail. The only place I have been able to find them is at the big Assi supermarket near Lansdale. Even some of the clerks in Assi never heard of them, I just lucked into them.

    1. In a pinch, you can order them online, amazon has them

I think her goal was not to pay shipping costs because they are packed in water and it would be lots of $$$$.

      2. Japanese items like shirataki noodles are generally avialable in Korean markets. Try the markets in the 69th street area (take the El).

If you're after Shiratki noodles because they are low in carbs, you might try Chinese "tofu noodles", also called "tofu strips." Find them in the refrigerated case near the fresh noodles in a big Asian market (e.g. Washington Ave or Chinatown).

        1. Kind of late to reply to this but maybe it will help someone. I found Shirataki noodles at Chung May Chinese and American Food Corp on Race Street between 10th and 11th.

The little Korean market in Blue Bell has them. I forget the name, but it's right off of 202.

          2. I'm pretty sure Food & Friends at 20th & Spruce has them.
