Hi! Craig LaBan wrote a very favorable review in yesterday's Inquirer. Has anyone been there in the last couple weeks? How much do the specials usually cost?

Recently I had their Meze Meal for two - vegetarian. In a word: wonderful. Many courses, many varied flavors -- flavors I've not experienced at other places.

The meal started off with a series of dips. Think variations on hummus. Each dip had its own distinctive flavor and body. The grilled hallumi cheese demonstrated to me why Nigella is so fond of the cheese -- it was terrific.

Next was the salad which was large, flavorful and super-fresh. Finally, the main course was a plate with good-sized portions of various items -- the only disappointment was the whole grilled baby eggplant.

Other tables had the seafood Meze meal -- whole fish was the main feature. Each course also seemed to bring a new seafood specialty.

I'd strongly recommend doing the Meze meals (besides seafood and vegetarian options, there is also a meat one), great way to taste a bit of everything. And the veggie one is only $20 per person.

Oh, the dessert I had, the name of which is not on the website-- was worth getting (although you'll have barely any room for it and it's not included in the base price). It is a traditional dessert -- puff pastry, honey and yummy.
