I am an avid tea drinker and have found some good online sites like adagio.com and tealuxe.com. However, I'm really searching for a local Philly area tea emporium where I may buy my tea in person.

Any ideas?

Yes, the house of tea has a nice selection. And they let you smell the tea before you buy it. They're all pretty helpful there too.

Only problem is it has weird hours

Yes it does. Tea bag has a shorter shelf life. loose tea,if stored in a sealed container last from six months to a year. I buy my tea from the mighty leaf and they are great.

Absolutely the House of Tea on 4th below Bainbridge. Jessica knows her tea. Her dad started the business years ago - he was one of the most fascinating people in Philadephia. They ship tea all over and will give great advice on what and how. They also have a good selection of tea pots and serving equipment. Try the jasmine pearls.
