Good fish market in Delaware Co or Philly?

  • k

Hi all,

The boy and I are craving good shellfish and general fish. We both come from places on the ocean and have been pretty disappointed by our local seafood-buying options. Is there anywhere near us (we're in Swarthmore) in Delaware County or even SW/Central Philly where we could get some great fresh mussels or clams to cook up? Any help would be much appreciated.

  1. Try calling Kevin Hill at Main Line Seafood in Ardmore.

Hill's seafood in Media on Baltimore pike and Newtown on rt 3 has nice fish and seafood.
      Good luck!

    2. Here's another choice: Hadfield's seafood on Rt 202 South at the PA/Delaware border. It's 5 minutes from the intersection of Rts 1 and 202. I would stop there more often but it's on the wrong side of the road when I going home from work

      1. Go down Hook Rd. Passed Oak ave. you will see a place sitting back off the rd. I think it's called seafood shuckers. He goes to Maryland and gets fresh crabs and has all kinds of fish and scallops to die for. Or go to frank Hopkins seafood in so phila. He sells commercial but also to public.
