Good Thai on Solano Ave.?

I know someone has written about a Thai place on Solano in Albany that is great (it has a sibling in El cerrito). Does anyone know what I'm talking about? If not can you recommend good eats on Solano?

I've always liked Da Nang, the vietnamese/Thai combo restuarant. It is on Solano and San Pablo, actually on San Pablo about two door south of the intersection.

I am not sure if this is tha place that was recommended earlier, but it is delicious.

I believe Da Nang has gone out of business.

I don't know the one you're referring to on Solano, either.

But we did have chowhound dinner at Ruen Pair on San Pablo, just a couple of blocks south of the intersection of Solano and San Pablo.

I've attached a link to the report of our dinner there.

Otherwise, on Solano I'd recommend Barney's for burgers (and all the accompaniments). Many years ago both King Tsin and Shin Shin were good for Chinese, but I don't know anyone who has eaten there recently.

There are literally dozens of restaurants on Solano Ave. If no one has done a comprehensive list, then maybe someone should.

        It's all Dave Feldman's fault.

Ever since I've eaten at Lotus of Siam, I've been disappointed with Sa Wooei. First location on San Pablo in Richmond, in that funky, second story walk-up above a motel's parking lot. Second location on Solano at Santa Fe. The som tum is good (I don't think it's on the menu-just ask) and the keow wan gai is good-I like the big chunks of carrot. Ruen Pair was very good, I definately prefer it to Sa Wooei.

Sa Wooei in El Cerrito has been noted several times on this board. Its cousin of the same name is on Solano at Peralta. Check the link below for more info. It still works.
