Saw the article in the Phila Mag and also the one in the Inquirer a month or so ago re: outdoor dining -- but am really looking for places with cool patios, courtyards, decks with views, etc. for BYOB outdoor eating. Any suggestions in the Phila metro area (NJ is fine...)?

You're right. Tried this 2 weeks ago and was not only impressed with the food (crab cakes and a great chipotle-rubbed grouper, I think it was) but the courtyard/patio was incredibly pleasant. Am hoping that this site can help me find more places like this!

Effie's, a little Greek place on Pine St. has a pleasant patio and is BYO. Haven't been in a while, but the food used to be fairly solid, and inexpensive.

For summertime dining al fresco, my fav is Jamiacan Jerk Hut. They are BYOB & the menu is tropical and inexpensive. On weekends they usually have a live reggae band too. If you plan to BYO, I suggest bring some good dark rum to mix with their homemade ginger beer.
