Some of you must be onto where to get Michael Recchiuti chocolates around here. I know he sells at the Embarcadero Farmers' Market on Saturdays - can't get there today and would like to get my hands on some of his chocolate this week. I've contacted the company but as I wait to hear back, I appeal to the chowhounds for ideas. Anyone know a retail source for this fabulous stuff? Online or real, either way. Thanks!

Michael Recchiuti is at the Ferry Market on Saturdays. His stand used to be on the east side of the market but is now on the south side of it. His product is also sold at Neiman Marcus.

Confetti is a local chain with several stores in the City, although not all of them have the selection of high end chocolates. I've noticed the selection at the Embarcadero store has gotten smaller, so you might want to call around.

The Embarcadero store also has the chocolate sauce. anyone tried it? How does it compare with Sharffen Berger (which I was actually disappointed with considering all the oohing about it here)?

Fabulous! Thanks for all of the leads. I am pretty sure I'll be able to get my burnt caramel fix soon, and have been meaning to check out that Yum! place.

Re cocoaplanet.com - anyone ordered from there? I always prefer to order online from sites that have some sort of positive track record.

Thanks again.

I was just going to post that I had the best Recchiuti confection yet last night: the rose petal carmel, a white chocolate shell filled with soft burnt carmel distinctly but not overpoweringly flavored with rose petal. How all the flavors managed to balance was a miracle. Truly hyperdelicious!
