Shopping at Franklin Mills, discovered a Popeye's in the food court when lunchtime hit.

For $4.99 we each recieved two juicy pieces of chicken, (his spicy; mine mild), yummy red beans and rice, nice biscuit and a large drink. Guilty pleasured smiles all around. Contentment in a shopping mall. The only really good fast food around.

Of sad note, this huge mall was fairly deserted, and a lot of anchor stores (Nordstrom RAck) were shuttered. The economy bites.

It may not be the economy, but just that awful mall. Almost all the stores are fake outlets with more cheaply made versions of what's in the regular stores, so you aren't really getting a bargain. Plus I find the decor/design of the mall very loud and jarring. I always got a headache after shopping there. Just IMHO, of course. Thank you.

I can't disagree with you re ambience at Mall, but despite it not being to our taste, long distance busses has made this a destination for a long time. Unreal, huh? But there weren't any busses there this week.

Ok, I wasn't impressed. Went there, slow service. Ordered the spicy fingers and they pretty much tasted like some cheap hot sauce mixed with cornflakes. I was not impressed.
