I'm looking for a recipe for Morrocan fish stew and am finding only lamb and beef. Also, does anybody know if there is a good grocery store for North African products in the Bay Area?

  1. I worked in Morrocco and Tunisia for a two years and I can send you a good recipe for tagine if you would like. The key is preserved lemons which are easy to make as well. As far as North African products, there used to be a good place on San Pablo Ave right off of University but it burned down a while back and it does not look like it will open. I found harissa at Rattos in Oakland but I don't know of a place in San Francisco.

In San Francisco, Haig's (8th & Clement) has harissa (as do any number of Middle Eastern markets). The produce place at 22nd & Irving almost certainly has it as well.

    2. Heres a link to some recipes, including a fish tajine...
