Hey All-

I was asked if I wanted to be included in Tangerine reservations for New Year's Eve. I've never been there, though the menu sounds delicious. I just called and was told it's all 'a la carte,' which I think means appetizers. (?) I think the proximity to the fireworks prompted the suggestion... Anyone have an opinion? Specific to NYE or general reviews are both welcome...

Thanks guys

Tangerine sounds like fun for NYE. The bar is lots of fun and seems perfect for the occasion. It's a good restaurant with expensive food and drinks. A La Carte means that you'll be ordering each item off the menu separately. There are no package deals or pre fixe menus, or freebees like a salad that accompanies your entree.

The dining room is condusive to a lively New Year's Eve atmosphere as it is rather large and easy to feel a part of the whole scene. (Tangerine community..)Tables are somewhat close together as well.

You will like the food but be aware that you may want to leave your car at home if you are coming from outside the city. Work out a carpool, or take alternative transportation as this area of the city is normally congested as it is, let alone for something like New Year's Eve. If crowds seem annoying to you then this isn't your option.
