looking for "carne seca"

Steve Gere Nov 14, 2001 02:00 PM

Hi there. I've got a sister in law from Brazil in town and we want to make some feijoada completa next week. Does anyone know where we can get the dried beef or "carne seca" which is needed for it? We are in East Bay but would consider heading to SF if needed. Thanks a ton!

    Hi Steve,

Mercado do Brasil (1252 Valencia St. between 23rd and 24th St. in the Mission) carries carne seca, Brazilian foods, guarana and trashy lingerie.

    Good luck with your feijoada.

Nice tip, Simon. Pls. keep 'em coming. Found anywhere with decent churrascaria (sp?)?
