This can be a real bargain; you can "false econimize" by ordering top shelf drinks.

M-F 3:30 - 6:00, also after 10:30 they offer $1.95 food. Tonight they had six or seven choices, bartender Joey said the mussels and the burger were the best deals.

I had the two oyster shooters (twice) - aw shucks - in an on-the-rocks glass with cocktail (I'm not telling!) sauce, horseradish and a large squeeze of lemon. Tasty, but pre-seasoned with cocktail for you oyster fans.

The Cajun tuna bits were three generous pieces of rare meat, moderately spiced, very tasty. I'd do another of them rather than the second oyster round next time.

The mussels were the star - thanks, Joey. A bowl of, I'll guess, 20 mussels in white wine sauce, garlicy, succulent.

On the "bar" side, I saw them serve big burgers (with steakhouse fries) and good lookng wings that would make me come again. If you're up for a burger and a couple of beers, it's a great deal.

Just be sure to do your "two drink minimun" from the beer menu. A top-shelf mart exceeded the food bill.

Look forward to meeting those who make DDC at Lucia's.

Regards, Charlie
