una vegetariana

anyone else vegetarian and have any special stuff they'd like to clue me in on? my favorites are dahlak, spicy eggplant at sang kee, big salads at beau monde, a now-defunct southern indian place on castor ave. (anyone know other southern indian?) i dislike places like kingdom of veg. that do fake meat stuff.

I can't remember its name, but there's an indian place on sansom right above 16th street that has some really good vegetarian food - dahls, chickpea/lentil stews, etc.

It's called Minar Palace, and it's pretty good. Not the fresh ground spices like at Cafe Spice across town, but very good Raita, a lot of vegetarian selections, and a huge amount of food for the money.
