I am heading for a craft show in Shadyside(part of Pittsburgh)(I think)...LOL--anyway--want some suggestions for eating in the area--not trendy--not designer foods--ethnic is great as well as any local Mom and Pops of whatever kinda food--

Your suggestions would be appreciated

I've never been to Pittsburgh, but all my friends that are from that area rave about Primanti's. Apparently, Primanti's opens late and stays open until about 4AM. It's a sandwich joint. The thing is, they put the french fries RIGHT IN YOUR SANDWICH! I know - it sounds very strange, but I'm told it's heavenly. This must be the Pittsburgh equivalent of going out for a cheesesteak when the bars close!

Let us know if you try it...
