Looking for a dinner suggestion in the Norristown area. We will have a car so any place within a short drive is OK. I have seen the post on the tacquiria on Main street but my wife is not big on Mexican.

THANKS

Paul

    Paul,
while I don't know of anything in Norristown there are some good places a short distance from there (but that depends on what you consider a "short" drive).

My wife and I just ate at Thai Orchid on Dekalb Pike (Rte. 202) in Blue Bell. It is BYOB and reasonably priced and serves very good Thai food. Carambola on Limekiln Pike in Dresher serves very good Italian and is also BYOB. Sullivan's Steakhouse at the King of
Prussia mall is also quite good but more expensive
(not BYOB either). Mirna's Cafe in Jenkintown and Blue
Bell serves good Mediterrean and is BYOB. And
finally, the Jefferson House on Dekalb Pike in East
Norriton is probably very close by. They serve good american-continental food in a lovely old mansion on nice grounds.

I hope that gives you some good, diversified ideas. Being not too far (Lansdale), if you come across something good let me know! Good eating!
