Just got back from a trip to Martha's Vineyard and I found the BEST and I mean Best Potato Chips in the world "Cape Cod Potato Chips". The sour cream and chive are yummy and the firecracker bbq is awesome. If anyone is interested in good rest. on Martha's Vineyard let me know on this web site and I'll post some good ones. Einstein Bagels sell the cape cod chips. Enjoy.

They're sold all over the northeast...I bet in PA as well (I'm assuming you're from pennsylvania by the fact that you've chosen to post this here...actually, the Boston board would have been more appropriate in any case).

But the best thing about Cape Cod is that they sell a dark and crunchy version, fried extra long. Really worth looking for!

Those dark and crunchy Cape Cod chips are as good as they get in a bag, as far as I'm concerned. But not quite as good as the ones that used to be made by... darn, I forgot the name, but I remember the brand was owned by Anheuser-Busch(!), and they were called dark Russet chips, and were the best ever. They were discontinued a few years ago (or at least I haven't seen them in years).

Yes, of course, thank you. Multinational and all that, but the dark russets were the best. Better than the current Cape Cods because the Cape Cods tend to be smallish bits and pieces, while the Eagle were full sized dark potato chips. The flavor is similar.

Hey, if we really want to talk about chips, we'd surely capture more interest on the general topics board. If anyone's got something new to contribute to this topic, please start a thread over there (and let us know the new thread title back here, if possible)
