We'll be vacationing in the southern end of the Delaware Water Gap this summer and are looking for recommendations for places families with kids would enjoy and be welcome.

If you don't mind a 20-minute car trip to Stroudsburg, you could try Everybody's Cafe. It's on Main Street near the intersection with 611 (9th Street). It's in a beautiful Victorian house (across the street from the Stroud Mansion) and has a large menu of tapas, meat and vegetarian selections. My six year old loves to order from the "a la carte" pasta menu where you can mix and match different pastas (including dumplings) with meats, vegetables, and sauces...the hard part is just making up your mind. It's BYOB.
Also good on Main Street in Stroudsburg is Ciro's, a pleasant Italian place with a wood-burning pizza oven--they serve wine & beer.
North of DWG in the Marshall's Creek area, Naturally Rite is pretty good...it's in understated quarters by a health food store/clinic and I haven't been there in about a year, but it used to be quite good. It has outdoor seating.

Nothing great as far as food is concerned, but a really lovely place is Mimi's Streamside Cafe in Shawnee-on-Delaware. Pretty outside terrace, burgers in red plastic baskets, lots of kids.
