Lee's Steamed Food (San Jose/Campbell)

Lee's Steamed Food is located in a non-descript strip in campbell. The sign is easily missed as you drive down Hamilton Ave. But a friend told me about them so I was on the look out.

The place is more of a take away place than a eat-in. The tables are small and dingy, and there are no customers in the shop. But don't let this deter you. Their specialities are hand made northern chinese dough goods. This includes various kinds of dumplings, man tao (steamed bread, w/o stuffings) and bao tze (steamed bread, w/ stuffing).

I believe there's a bunch of other stuff also, but I forgot to pick up a menu. I picked up 3 different varieties of dumplings(they come in bags of 50, frozen), pork & leek, seafood & mushroom, chicken & napa. All three were really great. The pork & leek ones were especially juicy. I also picked up a box of fresh bao tze. But they were not as good as the dumplings, a little bit too much dough.

All in all, I considered the trip all the way out to campbell well worth it.
