Buono in Mt. Washington
Anyone been to Buono in Mt. Washingion, previously McCafferty's.
What did you think?
My husband and I have been there several times since it opened last fall. In general, I can say the food is uneven. Portions are huge. Traditional italian dishes, like chicken parmesan, are over cooked and served with nothing-special spagetti. Their daily specials which often involve several seafoods in one dish, are more expensive than the regular menu, but are the better way to go. I've had the bolanase pasta a coulpe of times and it has a strange sweetness to it. Their fresh salads are great! Wine list is reasonably priced. Bar area has a good vibe- different from McCafferty's but very friendly. This place is much more child-friendly than McCafferty's- something that we weren't prepared for. I would recommend a visit.
