Good Chili in SF?

I was in a cookin' mood on Sunday, so I made up a big batch of Chili (something about chili -- you either make big batches or none at all). Anyhow, while I was chopping onions, soaking dried peppers and all that good stuff, it occurred to me that if I wasn't in a cookin' mood I wouldn't know of any place in SF to get a good bowl of red. Down in San Mateo, the now-defunct Redneck Earl's used to make a mean Texas chili. Anyone know of anything like that here?

Hmmm. Tried Chili-Up once, some time ago, and just didn't like it. Not spicy enough, and I've never been a big fan of chili over rice. I'll give it another try, though, as I don't think I had the ballpark chili (can't remember which I ordered). Maybe I can get it without the rice...
