Finally zpizza on Duke Street is open, and they deliver to old town. They just won washingtonian's best delivery and pizza restaurant. The delivery took longer than I hoped (I was hungry), but the food was shockingly good. The pizza I had was amazing, thin crust, tasty. I'm more of a meat-lover, so I ordered what they call the "ZBQ". It’s made with slightly spicy BBQ sauce, mozzarella, BBQ chicken, roasted red peppers, red onions, tomatoes, fresh cilantro and sweet corn. FYI they're at 3217 Duke street by the Panera's, and their number is 703.600.1193.

I don't know if they deliver as far as Old Town, but you might want to try Stone Hot Pizza off Telegraph Road. Some of the best carryout pizza in the area: great crust, simple sauce, lots of toppings. The folks over at the halal websites rave about their pies.

I think I heard ZPizza was coming to Alexandria, not sure when or where. They are fantastic.

re: dusty
Seconded. I had Monterrey for the first time only recently and was amazed with (a) how yummy it was and (b) how quickly the pizza was delivered (within 20 minutes of ordering, during the lunch hour).
The only bummer: I don't think its menu, with lots of unique toppings, can be found online.
