Going to Pazo tonight; have read the previous postings that praise the eggplant dip and warn against the pizzas. Do people have more specific advice on what to order from the current menu? We're fairly adventurous eaters, don't like bland, like both veggies and meat-- and seafood.

I love the grilled mushrooms. The tuna involtini is a must. Slow cooked lamb is good too. There's some pork thing that comes on skewers that's fantastic. Can't remember what it's called. If you're looking to do a bottle of wine, the Pazo white is pretty good.

Wasn't crazy about the shrimp with garlic and tomato sauce. That's probably the only thing I've ever had there that wasn't great.

Had a great meal at Pazo tonight, with help from chowhounds: grilled mushrooms (satisfying, except I had to share them), smoky eggplant dip,(lots of interesting flavors and a bit of cayenne) warm spinach with pinenuts (unctuous), pear salad with fennel and pancetta strips (Wow!), slow cooked lamb and potatoes,(mmm) seared bronzini (sea bass) which was good but cooked rather than seared.
Mozzarella salad was good but not a standout. The only disappoinment was the pork ribs with garlic: I think the overcooked garlic was the only prominant flavor.
Try a glas of the Poetica wine if you like large reds and want a treat.
The best dessert was the ice trio: tangerine granita, espresso (was really cappucino) ice cream, fresh pineapple sorbet.
Service was unpretentious and good. What a nice place!!

The items that I can never avoid ordering are the fritto misto, grilled mushrooms and grilled lamb chops. Not the most adventurous choices, I admit. But tasty.

On my last visit I also enjoyed the mussels, sauteed merlu, and the hanger steak.
