Ihave heard tell of a great Cambodian restaurant in San Jose, on Second Street near San Carlos Street, basement level, and the name something like Tres Xiao. Has anyone eaten there? a better spelling for the name? Hours and days open? Is the food really that great?

I noticed this place when I was wandering around downtown San Jose a year ago. It's on the same block as Original Joe's which is where I ended up having lunch because it had more powerful air-conditioning on this hot day.

Trieu Chau (as in Chiu Chow or Teochew) is Chinese-Cambodian cuisine, judging by the menu posted. Chiu Chow are from southern China (Swatow) and have immigrated all over southeast Asia.

Sorry I can't give you a dining report.

    1. Don't know about that one. I had nice Cambodian food at Chez Souvan in Campbell though. Give it a shot if you haven't.
